It has been reported that DUI checkpoints are scheduled for the following:
Friday, October 5 in Newark, Delaware, and
Saturday, October 6 in Dover, Delaware.

As we have stated many times, we are not in favor of drinking and driving. But it is rather unfortunate that the State of Delaware chooses to continue to harrass large number of innocent motorists by stopping and delaying them on the road, and checking their sobriety. The program is largely ineffective in its direct results. For example, last weekend was race weekend in Dover. Only six arrests were made.

James M. “Matt” Stiller, Jr., is the Delaware DUI Defender. He represents the accused in DUI cases across Delaware, including those in Newark and Dover.
